Greenville’s St. Patrick’s Day celebration is growing larger each year. We expect more marchers in the parade, additional bands at the festival, and increased support for local charities through our partnership with St. Baldrick’s and other charities. We also work on additional gatherings, including a Halfway to St Patrick’s Golf Tournament, Festival Kick-Off Event, and a Festival Volunteer Appreciation party.
All of this requires a good bit of time and effort and we would love to explore adding additional members. Serving as a committee member is a rewarding experience and an opportunity for personal and professional growth. Ideal members will have a passion for building community events, an interest in Irish American history and culture, and a desire to support worthwhile charitable causes. Applicants are selected by majority vote of the current Board and the Committee does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, color, national origin, disability or age. Whether you're Irish by birth or descent, or just on St. Patrick's Day, all are welcome to apply.
